<\/i>Selection system for Quebec Skilled Workers<\/h4>Skilled Worker applicants who intend to reside in Montreal or in another city or region within the province of Quebec are assessed under a different system than applicants who wish to settle\u00a0elsewhere in Canada.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Quebec’s\u00a0introduced an\u00a0Expression of Interest System in 2018 as part of the province’s efforts to\u00a0streamline the processing of QSW applications. Under this system, individuals interested in immigrating to the province through the Quebec Skilled Worker Program must first create an Expression of Interest profile using the province’s Arrima portal.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Creating an Expression of Interest profile in the online\u00a0Arrima portal\u00a0is free and available to anyone 18 years of age or older.\u00a0The Arrima portal is available\u00a0year-round and an Expression of Interest profile can be submitted at any time.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Candidates invited to apply for immigration to Quebec through the QSW must use the secure Mon projet Qu\u00e9bec<\/em>\u00a0portal in order to submit an application.\u00a0Mon projet Qu\u00e9bec<\/em>\u00a0allows candidates to complete their application for a CSQ, make their payment online, follow the status of their application, make changes to their application, and access personal electronic messaging throughout the process.<\/div><\/div><\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1615653123040{background-color: #ffffff !important;}”][vc_column]

<\/i>Quebec Skilled Worker Program Eligibility<\/h4>Applicants who are successful under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program\u00a0are issued a\u00a0Quebec Selection Certificate\u00a0(CSQ) and can then apply to the Government of Canada for permanent residence. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will conduct a medical and criminal background check as part of its approval process.<\/p>\n

In order to qualify for a CSQ, you must score enough points under the Quebec Immigration selection\u00a0factors described below. A single (unmarried) applicant must score at least\u00a050 points<\/strong>\u00a0based on this system, while an applicant with a spouse or common-law partner must score at least\u00a059 points<\/strong>.<\/div><\/div><\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1615653123040{background-color: #ffffff !important;}”][vc_column]

<\/i>PEQ as an International Student<\/h4>The Quebec Experience Program (Programme de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise<\/em>,\u00a0or PEQ<\/em>) is a popular immigration pathway for\u00a0foreign students\u00a0with an eligible degree earned\u00a0in\u00a0Quebec and eligible individuals with\u00a0work experience in Quebec.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Foreign students who have studied in Quebec may be eligible to apply for a CSQ under the PEQ if they:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • show an intention to settle in\u00a0Quebec\u00a0to hold a job;<\/li>\n
  • have stayed temporarily in\u00a0Quebec\u00a0for the purposes of study;<\/li>\n
  • have obtained an eligible degree or diploma from an educational institution recognized by the Quebec Ministry of Education within the past 36 months;<\/li>\n
  • have studied in Quebec for at least 1,800 hours (two years)<\/li>\n
  • hold a Masters, Bachelors or DEC diploma and have 12 months of\u00a0work experience in a 0, A, B level job and to\u00a0hold such a job at the time of application<\/li>\n
  • hold a DEP and have\u00a018 months\u00a0of work experience in a 0, A, B or C level job and required to\u00a0hold such a job at the time of application. Please note that C level work must be related to the degree.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Language requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • show a\u00a0final transcript attesting to the successful completion\u00a0of at least three years of full-time secondary or post-secondary study\u00a0<\/strong>completed\u00a0entirely in French\u00a0(including the master\u2019s and doctoral theses, if applicable);\u00a0or<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • a final transcript attesting to the successful completion of a\u00a0study program in Qu\u00e9bec completed entirely in French (including the master\u2019s and doctoral theses, if applicable);\u00a0or<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • prove French ability by way of a standardized language test recognized by the Government of Quebec;\u00a0or<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • show that they have\u00a0satisfied the French language requirements of the professional order governing their\u00a0occupation in Quebec.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

       <\/p>\n

      <\/i>PEQ as a Temporary Foreign Worker<\/h4>Temporary Foreign Workers in Quebec may be eligible to apply for a CSQ under the PEQ if they:<\/p>\n

      • show an intention to settle in\u00a0Quebec\u00a0to hold a job;<\/li>\n
      • have stayed temporarily in\u00a0Quebec\u00a0for the purposes of work;<\/li>\n
      • have\u00a0had full-time\u00a0work experience in Quebec\u00a0for at least 24 months of the 36 months preceding the submission of an application in a 0, A or B level job;<\/li>\n
      • have legal status in Quebec as a temporary worker or as part of a youth exchange program, such as International Experience Canada (IEC) (Working Holiday, Young Professionals or International Co-op Internship).<\/li>\n
      • are employed at the time of the application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

         <\/p>\n

        Language requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n
