<\/i>Federal Skilled Trades Program<\/h4>The new Federal Skilled Trades Program (FTSC) will allow individuals with job offers or appropriate certification to work in certain occupations to obtain Canadian Permanent Residency in any Canadian Province or Territory other than Quebec.<\/div><\/div><\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1615653123040{background-color: #ffffff !important;}”][vc_column]

<\/i>Minimum Requirements<\/h4>Federal Skilled Trades applicants must fulfill the following minimum requirements:<\/p>\n
    \n
  1. Have offers of employment supported by LMIA from up to two employers in Canada of at least one year duration OR a Certificate of Qualification from a provincial or territorial body;<\/li>\n
  2. Provide proof of basic language proficiency from a designated language testing organization, demonstrating that the applicant meets the minimum threshold set by the Minister (Canadian Level Benchmark (CLB) 5 for speaking and listening, 4\u00a0for reading and writing);<\/li>\n
  3. Have obtained twenty-four months of qualified work experience in the skilled trade in the last five years; and<\/li>\n
  4. Be able to demonstrate the skills and experience and that they have performed the essential duties of the occupation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1615653123040{background-color: #ffffff !important;}”][vc_column]

    <\/i>List of Eligible Occupations<\/h4>Skilled work experience eligible for the FSTP\u00a0falls under the following categories of the National Occupational Classification (NOC):<\/strong><\/p>\n
      \n
    • Major Group 72: industrial, electrical and construction trades,<\/li>\n
    • Major Group 73: maintenance and equipment operation trades,<\/li>\n
    • Major Group 82: supervisors and technical jobs in natural resources, agriculture and related production,<\/li>\n
    • Major Group 92: processing, manufacturing and utilities supervisors and central control operators,<\/li>\n
    • Minor Group 632: chefs and cooks, and<\/li>\n
